Specification

The Firenza’s fire bowl is made from Nero black powder-coated steel. Its plinth base comes in either Nero black powder-coated steel or Corten steel depending on model. These materials are extremely resistant to corrosion. With the grill and solid oak ring removed, and appropriate steps having been taken to protect the plancha plate, the Firenza can be left outdoors for extensive periods without weathering.

Optional Grill

The Firenza's grill attachment offers tantalising cooking options. Chargrill delicious vegetables, toast fresh ciabatta, or flame-grill a juicy steak for flavours that only come from cooking over live fire!

Optional Solid Oak Ring

The solid oak ring is a stunning accessory that transforms your Firenza into a social dining space. Gather your friends to cook, eat and drink together, sat around the fire!

Concave Plancha Plate

Our 10mm plancha plates are precision-pressed to be subtly concave, helping to channel any excess fats into your fire bowl.

Elliptical Cooking Control

The Firenza’s plancha plate is also elliptical. This shaping results in greater variation in temperature across the surface, offering a more controlled cooking experience.

Circumferent Air Flow

Featuring an elevated plancha plate, the Firenza's innovative design results in an optimised air current around its circumference. Combustion air is drawn in from beneath the plate, right to the flames!

Sleek Plinth Base

Contemporary and practical, choose from bases with and without integrated log storage.

We strongly recommend that you consider regarding safety distances to buildings and vegetation before assembling the product and putting it to use. Please also be aware of local temporary fire bans during droughts. In cases where the Firenza is set up on a combustible surface such as decking, we strongly suggest covering the surface with a noncombustible material (minimum 100cm wide). This will help to prevent embers from leaving marks on the surface or, in the worst case, causing a fire. All surfaces can become hot. Children and pets must be kept away at all times.

* Maximum Discount available when purchasing a Firenza 1000W or 1000CW model, with optional Solid Oak Ring, BBQ Grill, Standard Cover, and Large Wooden Ring Cover.

Frequently Asked Questions

Once the Firenza Plancha BBQ Grill has been lit, it will take between 25 to 45 minutes, depending on the weather conditions and the temperature outside, for the cooking plate to reach around 300˚C on the inner edge and around 200˚C on the outer edge.

You can cook for 20 to 30 people on your Firenza.

You can use a variety of wood types in your Firenza, but kiln-dried beech produces the best results. It burns down to a mass of embers that are easily spread around, and provide heat for an extended period. Ash wood has similar qualities.

Yes, you can use charcoal as fuel for your Firenza. However, charcoal might not reach the same temperatures as firewood.

The first few times you light your Firenza, we recommend using olive oil. Olive oil has a lower combustion point, which will help the cooking plate get a nice brown-black hue. After the first few uses, you can start using natural oil types like sunflower oil and groundnut oil, which have higher combustion points.

Between uses of your Firenza, leftover ashes should be removed from the fire bowl. Please note that the ashes will stay hot for a very long time after use; therefore, make sure to only store leftover ashes in fireproof containers until fully cooled. Once the ashes have fully cooled, they can be removed with a dustpan and brush and deposited into a regular waste bin. To clean your plancha plate, scrape off any residue with a spatula and wipe it down with cooking oil.

Cooking on your Dragonfly Firenza regularly will cause a layer of carbon residue to build up on the cooking plate. This layer might come off in some places when the Firenza is not used for a while, resulting in chips forming. These chips can be scraped off using a spatula. Then, just rub on a new layer of oil; a smooth carbon residue layer will gradually build up again.
